1980-1982 | Glass–Encased Metal
“My newest heads have the metal forms on the inside and evoke a much more modern feeling. In this series, a micro mask form made up of a number of hammered copper elements and joined together by very fine wires, is encased in glass and blown. As the sphere expands the various elements are torn loose and placed into new positions while the fine wires cause drastic muscle/sinew relationships to form.” –D.A.S.
